The Christmas narrative is full of angels making announcements. An angel announced to Zacharias that he would have a son to be named John. The archangel, Gabriel, announced to Mary that she would have a son to be named Jesus. An angel appeared in a dream to Joseph and told him to take Mary as his wife. Then an angel told the shepherds near Bethlehem that a Savior had been born. On the heels of the angel’s announcement, there appeared a host of angels who praised God. Angels are messengers who connect heaven and earth. Their praises declare this as they reference ‘the highest’ (heaven) and ‘the earth’. This reminds us of Genesis 1:1 which declares God as the Creator of heaven and earth. Pre-fall Eden was heaven on earth. The good news of Christmas is that despite the fall of our first parents, God sent His Son to earth to realign earth with heaven. During His earthly ministry, angels ascended and descended on Jesus (John 1:51). Let us join the angels in announcing His coming and in praising Him! This will release more peace in a troubled world. This will facilitate the realignment of earth with heaven. I refuse to give up on the earth looking more like heaven!
Jean, Dawn, and I extend our best wishes to you and your family for a blessed Christmas and a hope filled New Year.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT IN PRAYER AND FINANCES THIS YEAR
2016 has been a very challenging and even stressful year for many of our extended apostolic family. Years ago, I heard a preacher say: ‘the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory’. The Lord is faithful and we press on! Amen!
Every December, I encourage our family to give a year-end gift to this ministry. I have found this often helps me personally in my tax obligation. I would rather give more to the Kingdom and less taxes!
I pray for you, your family, and your ministry to flourish in every way.
