EQUIPPING THE SAINTS WITH A BIBLICAL WORLD-VIEW (Part 2)

Early in our Christian journey, we learn some Bible information and stories through Sunday School lessons, sermons, vacation Bible Schools, etc. This, of course, is important in building a  foundation in our walk with the Lord.  But the day comes when we realize we must mature by developing a Biblical World-View so that we are able to perceive and interpret all of life according to the Scriptures.  Believing the Lord and His Word “starts” our journey with God; seeing things like the Lord sees them matures us in our journey. Let me illustrate:  when I was born again, I was aware that I had received eternal life.  But I could not, at that point, articulate the Bible’s view on life as it related to the abortion issue. To further make my point, there are followers of Christ today who are unable or unwilling to make the case for marriage as the Bible defines it.

Generally speaking, when we begin our journey with the Lord, we are focused primarily on ourselves:  “I was born again’.  ‘I am going to heaven’. “I feel peace and joy’. But as we mature, we discover our walk with Him is more than a private and individual matter.  We learn to share our faith and reach out in genuine concern for others.  We discover we have become a part of a corporate family, called the Body of Christ, and further we become aware our personal faith has corporate implications both within the Body of Christ and beyond. It is when we discover ‘beyond’ that we are awakened to the importance of Biblical World-View!  God has a view of things beyond the four walls of the Church!  He has a perspective on everything from public political policy to television shows.  He even has a perspective on immigration and the economy.  And, to the amazement of some, He has a plan to align all these personal and corporate spheres of life with the reality of His Kingdom!  Our God has perspective and power!

PROPHETIC WORD ABOUT EXPANDING FMCI came forth in our TX RRI at Granbury back in April.  Please go to www.fmci.org to watch the video.  It is a strategic word for our apostolic famiy!
